Have a question or a query about the community rights, support or grants?
You can contact the My Community Advisory team direct via email, phone or Live Chat, or you can get a community sourced answer on our Advice Community forum.
We’ve also included some answers to common questions – check if your question is here or in our FAQs before getting touch.
My application link has expired. What do I do?
Your link to the application form will stay live for 30 days, during which time you can revisit it at any time.
It will automatically save the information you have entered provided that you have clicked the ‘next’ button on the relevant page. Once you have pressed the submit button on the final page you will not be able to make any further change or submit your form again.
After 30 days, your link will expire and your application will be lost.
Saving your application in Word
We recommend that you save a full draft of your application in Word before completing the online form. You will then be able to copy and paste your answers across.
It will serve as a copy of your application for future reference, and save your answers in case your link expires after 30 days.
Copies of the application form are available in Word for you to complete for:
- Neighbourhood Planning Grants
- Neighbourhood Planning Technical Support Grant
- Community-led Buildings & Housing Pre-feasibility Grant
- Community-led Buildings & Housing Project Support Grant
- Community Business Bright Ideas Fund Guidance Notes contain the application form questions.
Get a new application link
To get a new application link, you need to complete the Expression of Interest form again.
This is why we recommend that you save your application in Word to ensure you have your answers stored safely.
If you have lost your application and have not used the blank Word application form to save your answers, please email or call the My Community Help Centre below.
I’ve completed the Expression of Interest form, but haven’t received an application link via email?
Once you have completed and submitted the expression of interest form, this will automatically generate an application form overnight.
If this doesn’t arrive in your email inbox within 12 hours, first try searching your inbox for an email from either email@example.com (Neighbourhood Planning or Community Buildings Grants) or firstname.lastname@example.org (Bright Ideas Fund).
Secondly, check your junk and spam folders – these are usually folders stored in or under your Inbox folder.
Thirdly, try adding the relevant email address to your ‘safe’ or ‘whitelist’ senders list in your email settings so the email can pass through your spam filter or junk folder (here’s how to do that in Outlook 2013).
If none of these options work, please complete another Expression of Interest (Neighbourhood Planning/Community Buildings Grants) Eligibility Criteria (Bright Ideas Fund) form, ensuring that your email address is correct and trying with an alternative email address (such as a Gmail or Yahoo account). Some email addresses, such as @gov.uk, tend to automatically filter out unknown addresses.
If you still have not received it after completing two different email addresses and adding the email address to the safe senders list, please email or call the My Community Help Centre below.
