How to find and work effectively with partners

The Local Covenant Partnerships fund is a £11.59m, three-year programme funded by the UK Government.
It will support 15 Local Areas in England to build stronger relationships between local government, civil society and other public service partners, so that communities can help shape the funding, services and decisions that matter locally.
Running from July 2026 to March 2029, the programme will support participating areas to develop local covenant partnerships between voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, councils and other public service partners. These partnerships will be shaped by local priorities and will help bring community knowledge and experience into local decision-making.
The Local Covenant Partnerships Fund is being delivered by Locality and in a consortium with Collaborate CIC, Renaisi Innovation, and Demos. Together, the delivery partners will work with participating areas to support stronger local relationships and develop their approach to local covenant working.
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport has identified a shortlist of 15 areas. Locality will now work with these areas to confirm participation and next steps. Further details will be published on GOV.UK in due course.
As the programme develops, you can explore the Civil Society Covenant guidance and tools, along with practical tools, guidance, and funding information here on MyCommunity. We will update this page with further information and resources as the Local Covenant Partnerships Fund progresses.
