A self-reflection toolkit

Our involvement with people putting community economic development (CED) into practice in a wide range of settings has given us some insight into the knowledge and  skills needed for local projects to flourish. This toolkit is intended to help local organisations and partnerships to review their own practice in relation to CED to support the progress of local projects.

Using this toolkit

This toolkit is intended to be used by community groups to assess their knowledge and skills in using the principles of community economic development. It can also be used by a CED advisor as a tool to support an initial ‘scoping’ or needs analysis exercise, and subsequent reviews, with a community working through a CED process.
