Carnaval del Pueblo – the largest Latin Event in Europe takes on First Steps

Carnaval del Pueblo has been entertaining, and delighting audiences across London from all different ages and backgrounds for the past 16 years. It grew to the largest Latin event in Europe, attracting an audience of 130,000 people.

The event is ran by the Carnaval del Pueblo Association, which is made up of dedicated volunteers. Their mission is to help create an understanding and increase public awareness of the vibrant cultural Heritage of 19 Latin American countries.

Carnaval del Pueblo was one of 115 groups taking part in the First Steps programme, which helps groups plan the changes they want to see in their community. This video tells their story and discusses why they got involved in the programme, the impact it’s had, and what a difference it’s made for them as a community.
