Routes to community control and accountability

21 Mar

Royal Bank of Scotland, EC2M 4AA

Tuesday 21 Mar 17 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join us for an interactive networking event exploring which routes are most effective and useful for securing control over what happens in your area, and how to ensure you are genuinely involving your community in decisions and action locally!

We will be showcasing four contrasting approaches – Community Organising, neighbourhood planning, community councils and community anchor organisations, exploring their strengths and challenges.

There will be plenty of opportunity to share your ideas about how to improve community control and accountability in your neighbourhood.

The event is free and is open to community groups and organisations, community activists and champions, as well as councillors and officers from local councils.

Speakers: From Clitterhouse Farm Project, Queens Park Community Council, Brixton Green, and Hackbridge & Beddington Corner Neighbourhood Development Group.

Date: Tuesday, 21 March 2017

Agenda: View the full agenda here.

Venue: RBS, Auditorium 1 and the Conservatory,  250 Bishopsgate, London, EC2M 4AA
