Changes to the Neighbourhood Planning funding and support

Posted on the 23rd February 2017

The final year of the 2015 -2018 Neighbourhood Planning programme brings two changes to the funding and support that is available.

Site allocation now a criteria of complex groups

If your group is:

  • undertaking an assessment of sites with a view to site allocation AND/OR
  • any group allocating sites for housing or mixed development

It can now be regarded as a complex group. This means that you are eligible to apply for technical support and grant funding of up to £15,000.

Find out more about complex groups and the support available here.

Groups modifying their made plans

Once your plan has come into force, you can make modifications or updates – and we now offer funding to help you do this. Groups are eligible for £9,000 (or £15,000 for a complex group) irrespective of any previous funding or support you may have already received through the programme.

You can read more about the funding available here.
